How to Find the Cabin
The cabin is in Grímsnes, on the Golden Circle route in South Iceland — just south of the village of Laugarvatn.
From Keflavík Airport (KEF)
- Distance: ~140 km (about 1 hour 50 minutes by car)
- Route: Route 41 to Reykjavík, then Route 1 east, then Route 35/37 north into Grímsnes
- Recommended: Rent a car at the airport — it gives you full freedom to explore the Golden Circle and South Coast at your own pace
From Reykjavík
- Distance: ~85 km (about 1 hour 15 minutes)
- Route: Route 1 east, then Route 35 (or via Route 36 past Þingvellir for a scenic drive)
- Public bus: Strætó route 73 connects Reykjavík to Laugarvatn — check schedule at straeto.is
